Many of the people I have worked with have seen the benefit of engaging in talk therapy while moving their bodies in nature. It is commonly known that trauma, and other emotional health challenges, are stored in the body. Therefore, it makes sense to move the body as you process these memories or needs. Being in the natural world, instead of an office space, often allows people to process more openly and comfortably. Movement is also a key coping skill for strong emotional health so your session allows you to practice this skill on a weekly basis!
